Ledger, a leading global provider of hardware wallets for storing cryptocurrencies, has officially confirmed a data breach that occurred through their payment partner Global-e. The incident is estimated to have compromised the personal data of a significant number of customers, including names, contact details and shipping addresses.     According to preliminary reports, the scale of the leak affected about 10% of Ledger's customer base, equivalent to approximately 100,000 users. The company promptly notified affected customers and initiated an internal investigation with Global-e to determine the causes and minimize the impact of the incident.     Ledger emphasizes that none of the users' hardware wallets and cryptocurrency assets were affected, as financial data and private keys were not stored with the payment partner. Nevertheless, the company takes the incident with the utmost seriousness and has already announced the implementation of new multi-layered security measures, including additional encryption of client data and regular audits of partners.     The company notes that customer privacy and security remains a key priority. Ledger recommends that users be vigilant and not respond to suspicious messages associated with their accounts.
